- The following special events and services have been scheduled for the 2010 January Tournament. (January 10th - 24th, 2010)

NEW Official Website "Ticket Ozumo" Open!!
The official ticket sales website is now open for business!!
Reservations Possible Till: up until the tournament match date
Tickets Handled By: FamilyMart, Circle-K Sunkus, all PIA outlets (or mail)

Note: This service is only available in Japanese.

NEW "Sekitori-kun" Character Gifts!
The first 100 people lining up for this offer daily will receive a free, "Sekitori-kun" character souvenir from an actual stable master.
Time: from 2:00 p.m. (1:00 p.m. on the final day)
Place: Kokugikan entrance
*In the case of long lines forming numbered reservation tickets may be handed out in advance.
"Sekitori-kun" souvenirs are on sale at souvenir shops inside the Kokugikan.

NEW Tamanoi Beya Special Recipe "Chanko"
Tamanoi Beya's own special recipe for chanko-nabe (traditional sumo stew) will be served up on a daily basis.
(2 types: soy sauce base & salt base)
Time: 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. / Price: 250 yen per serving
Place: The underground hall "Ohiroma"

"Print Club" Photo Sticker Machines Available!
Two "Print Club" photo sticker machines have been installed on the second floor of the arena.
The perfect way to create your own original souvenir to commemorate your day at a grand sumo tournament.

Two Special Ticket Packages Available!
  A Standard Sized Box Just For Two - ¥18,400
C Section Boxes (seats 4) will be sold as boxes to be used by two people.
  General Admission Coupon Set - ¥20,000 for 15 tournament days
50 seats will be made available over the course of the tournament for this block style of purchase. Save ¥11,500 yen over the regular cost of purchasing one General Admission Seat for the full fifteen days.

Win A Pair Of Free Tickets To The 2010 May Grand Sumo Tournament.
2,000 pairs, a total of 4,000 tickets will be up for grabs!
To participate in this drawing please fill out the application (Doskoi Application Form) available inside the Kokugikan.
A total of 4,000 tickets in 2,000 sets for the 2010 May tournament will be awarded.
Winners will be announced by the posting of a coupon to be exchanged for the free tickets.
1,000 applicants from the above drawing will receive a "Doskoi Coupon" entitling them to an Official Listing Of Rank (banzukehyo) and a free helping of chanko stew from the Chanko Stall set up every tournament. Coupons will be sent directly to the winners in lieu of any formal announcement.

Visit the "Kokugikan Cafe" Always a Big Hit with Sumo Fans!
New menu item: Hosul (a Mongolian dish) cafe
A refreshment stand, The Kokugikan Cafe, is open for business on the 2nd floor, west aisle from 10:00 to 5:00 each tournament day.
Ice cream, donuts-on-a-stick, burgers and draft beer are also available.

Special In-House Radio Broadcasts! (Doskoi FM)
Enjoy a special FM radio broadcast (available only in the Kokugikan) featuring ongoing color commentary by some of sumo's past stars while watching the day's bouts.

  Note: For those people without a portable radio reasonably priced rentals are available in the Kokugikan. (located at the General Information Counters on the 1st floor)
